The Yellow Farmhouse has been offering in-person, on-the-farm professional development workshops along with curriculum support for Family & Consumer Science and Culinary teachers since 2018.
When the Yellow Farmhouse was forced to move our programming online during the pandemic, we deeply missed the in-person connections that resulted from gathering around a table to cook together.
But, we also recognized that we could reach far more people with the use of digital tools and resources. As a result, we started building a comprehensive website where teachers can access high-quality content that integrates content on agriculture, food, and nutrition. The development of this site is funded through a grant from the USDA Food & Nutrition Service Farm to School Grant along with a grant from the USDA National Food & Agriculture Program.
Farm to Culinary Classroom (F2CC) provides curriculum and resources for teachers in the field of Family & Consumer sciences so that they can empower students to make healthier choices and advocate for a food system that supports their community and our planet.
F2CC curates, filters and organizes content designed specifically for a high school culinary classroom. Our plug-and-play curriculum includes a semester-long course as well as shorter units, that provides content in the fields of regenerative agriculture, food culture, food justice, and climate change.
Together, we can cultivate a shared commitment to a food system that is accessible and affordable to all. Please email us at info@yellowfarmhouse.org with questions/inquiries!

We also offer in-person and virtual professional development opportunities for educators of all grade levels and content areas. Programs explore concepts such as sustainable agriculture, including soil health, crop rotation, and composting. Teachers participate in experiential activities designed to spark dialogue around food system issues.
During the school year, the Yellow Farmhouse collaborates with schools to provide experiential learning programs on the farm for students of all ages - preschool through college. All programs explore connection between food and farms, through age appropriate and seasonal hands-on kitchen and farm activities.
